Your company is not at risk because of competition.

Care is accountability, exercised even when inconvenient, unpopular, or unseen.
Care is honouring custodianship.
Every enduring company has a forbidden line.
A point beyond which growth is no longer worth the cost.
A moment when someone must say, “We stop here.”
If no one is explicitly trusted to hold that line,
your organization will cross it by default.
Not because you failed.
But because systems do not know when enough is enough.
So here is the only question that matters now:
Who in this company is authorised to protect what must not be lost—
even when the data says proceed,
the market says move faster,
and the system says yes?
If the answer is “everyone,”
the answer is no one.
Care is mastery.
